Kick-off Winter Series

The season will be kicking off at Karting Genk with the Rotax Winter Series, on February the 20th. It can be seen as a spin-off of the Champions Winter Trophy organised by Karting Genk in 2026. Only this time a second round is added to make it a proper Winter Championship. Round 2 will be in the weekend of 13-14 March at the Karting Track of Kerpen in Germany. Collaborating with RMC Germany.

It will be a two-day event with nine Rotax classes filling the schedule. Rotax Micro Max, Mini Rookie, Mini Max, Junior Max, Junior National, Senior Max, Senior National, DD2 and DD2 masters.

United Karting Series and BNL Series

Later that same month the United Karting Series will be back for its second season with the opening round at Karting Genk. After races in Berghem, Kerpen and Mariembourg the official Rotax Belgian and Dutch Champions will be crowned in the sixth round when the UKS returns to Genk. Two additional classes will be added to the UKS, the Junior National and Senior National class. The Rotax Micro Max, Mini Max, Junior Max, Senior Max and DD2 classes will continue with their place in the championship. The KZ2 and KZ2 Masters also return for 2027, but in a special format. Your questions about this will be answered soon.

While the UKS crowns its national champions across Belgium and The Netherlands, the BNL Series continue to focus on the highest level of European Rotax Racing. With two rounds in Genk, one round in Mariembourg and one round in Ostricourt it will provide a spectacular four-round championship.

Rotax National Classes

New to both the Rotax Winter Series and the United Karting Series are the Junior National and Senior National classes. These classes bring together drivers with different needs and ambitions, offering an accessible and competitive racing environment.

In these classes, drivers will race on Apex tyres and are allowed to compete using the older cylinder. For drivers who have only recently started karting, the step up to the Junior Max or Senior Max classes can be quite significant, especially when competing against more experienced drivers. The National classes offer the perfect opportunity to gain experience and battle it out with drivers of a similar skill level.

They are also a great option for Rotax drivers who simply want to enjoy racing without the pressure of competing at the highest level. Less pressure, more competition and, most importantly, more fun!

The GK4 also featured Rotax classes during the 2026 season, and the new National classes in the Rotax Winter Series and UKS provide a natural place for these drivers to continue racing. The racing itself won't change, but the opportunities ahead become much clearer.

By bringing these classes together, we also aim to create stronger and healthier championships in the long term, with fuller grids, more competitive racing and a more sustainable future for everyone involved.

With a clear pathway towards higher-level Rotax classes and other championships within Karting Champions League, drivers now have more opportunities to develop, gain experience and take the next step in their karting careers.

Creating opportunities and fueling the future of karting.
